At Our Core
We are a diverse team focused on making positive spaces and experiences for people with disabilities.
At IBC, we employ a diverse team of highly trained professionals who bring a wide range of skill sets, interests, knowledge, and experiences to our practice. This diversity enhances our ability to deliver effective, personalized care. By collaborating across disciplines, we develop innovative strategies that address varying behavioral challenges, fostering growth and independence for those we serve. Our commitment to ongoing professional development ensures that our team remains at the forefront of best practices in the field.
Transforming community
Traditional talk-therapy usually involves a therapist and client collaborating in a safe environment using proven interventions.
Today’s youth and young adults are not traditional.
What if that safe space could be anywhere? Mentoring with IBC makes the community just that - a space to process, to empower, to work through various modalities; both traditional and new, in order to find what works for that unique individual. Mentoring complements talk therapy by bringing a grounded, real-world perspective to the therapeutic experience.
The Central Virginia community has so much to offer. Fishing in Dorey Park, joining a D&D game in Carytown, or enjoying the tranquility of the Randolph-Macon campus; activities that provide a different approach in which to practice skills and work on what matters most to each individual client.
Our Approach
Rooted in the core principles of behavior-based interventions, IBC prioritizes individualized goals and treatment plans, using a data-driven approach to guide its methods. Each client is thoughtfully matched with a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) based on their individual needs.
